Executive Summary: The current enthusiasm for political change presents a unique but time-sensitive opportunity to attract awareness, activism, media attention, and membership towards the Democratic community in Charlotte County. We are volunteering to offer communications and related technology skills that will ultimately help increase Democratic representation throughout all levels of government.
Our group discussed several key areas of opportunities where we could provide expertise to support the effectiveness of Democratic Party efforts if such support were articulated and desired by the party. Specifically, we wanted to identify individuals that held specific skills, expertise, and/or willingness to develop strategies to impact:
Communications, Social Media, Website Development, Database Management and Oversight.
Our discussions revealed that these categories include many distinct functions and disciplines that will need interaction with other teams. Cooperation and coordination of efforts will be key to our effectiveness.

From Ted Lonis,
ReplyDeleteIn our conference call, there was a passing comment about attempting to secure data on snow birds for possible volunteers and/or revenue sourcing.
Initially I thought it was a good idea but virtually impossible to accomplish. Fortunately or un-fortunately at times, my sleeping brain does it's own thing.
I woke up knowing where all that information is but not if we could massage it enough to segment the data we want. It's all in the CC Assessors files. The property location, who owns it and their residency location. Unfortunately its in multiple screens and drill downs.
Regards, Ted Lonis
Note from Patrick Hurley: Thanks for the input Ted!
My guess is that we'll continuously learn how to manipulate and massage available data. The Communications Team may suggest outreach priorities, and the Database/Tech Team might advise on the feasibility to access and use such data.
