In an effort to support a strong Democratic Party in Charlotte County, we've identified various technological/communications techniques that may be important to implement. We've discussed how vigorous outreach efforts and increased online and social media presence require a variety of skill-sets, resources and infrastructure, all coordinated and supported by volunteers to maximize effectiveness.
As discussed in the DEC Town Hall meeting on February 11, I'm asking that you join this effort by:
- participate in our online meetings
- share thoughts, ideas, and comments on this blog
- research what others are doing, and share best practices
- volunteer as a team leader or supporter
Tentatively titled the Tech Task Force, our group is an ad-hoc volunteer group with no official association with the Democratic Party, or any of its affiliates. Our mission is not yet defined, but we anticipate offering volunteer advisory services to the Democratic party.
Over the next days and weeks, we'll communicate via e-mail, we'll host web conference calls, and in-person meetings, dates & times TBD.
In the meantime, please add any comments, ideas, thoughts etc. Your input is exceptionally valuable.
Please identify who has been involved in the initial discussions on setting goals. The collective "we" suggests there is already a group responsible for determining direction.
